Life was good then
When the next steps were clear
Had few things to worry about
& even fewer to fear.
Partied our hearts out
Like the end was near
Celebrated our small wins
Like it was the end of the year.
Life was good then
When we'd quickly wipe our tears
To shoot our hopes high & wish
The future would soon be here.
Life was good then
When our laughter was sincere
& everything looked brighter
There was simply magic in the air.
